Great product if you mix 50/1 with folding motion tip try folding a tablespoon size then mix thoroughly about 30 seconds then apply quickly with plastic spreaders and do not overwork, its on and thats it. Tip use plastic top to mix when it drys the bondo peels off

Do not buy for repair on fiberglass boat

The mix is not fluid enough to work and fill up gaps or cracks. This product goes everywhere but in the location you will try to fill in, expect lots of cleaning and waste!!!. There is no thinner either that seems to be acceptable without breaking the chemicals…., it sticks to metal tools mainly, dries too fast, gets hards but doesn’t stick to surface of fiberglass boat after application. Maybe this works under a very high controlled environnement of a lab but cannot be recommended on a boat yard project for waterproofing any exposed gaps. It is expensive and nearly impossible to use for long term repairs. I did a quick mix with bondo resin to try a different viscosity that resulted in a very high heat, and almost melted the container…! I got a nice solid piece of plastic within 2 minutes, already inusable for the repair, molded to the shape of the container, no adherence at all to the plastic surface of the bowl! Bondo please tell us who is able in your team to repair a boat deck in 2 minutes, how to thin this mix and delay hardening the green tooth paste? Which fiberglass it sticks too?

A: I used it last summer and fall on hot days which allowed it to gel better than when I used it on cool and cold days, which made it more difficult to blend. I primed the vehicles but didn't get around to painting it and it all remains good.

A: No, you want to look for a product called fusor 114, it is specifically for plastic repair and it's what we use at the shop i work at.

A: Yes, the Bondo-Glass can be used to fill a section of rotted wood. It will bond very well. However, all the rotted wood must be removed by sanding or grinding to allow proper adhesion to the non-rotted wood. Also, please be advised that the fibreglass-reinforced filler such as this one will be stronger, it will not mix or sand as easily as the Bondo Lightweight or Gold fillers without the glass fibres.
