I jumped from the 12V to the 20V and what a difference. The batteries last far longer and are exponentially more powerful. The drill is exactly what you'd expect. It does a great job, and it's got the oomph to take on tougher jobs like decking, where the 12V would never have drilled in as many screws as this one did. I have two of the 20V batteries, so one change, just over mid way thru my deck project, I switched to the new battery and completed the entire job in one day. Worth every penny!!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a replacement for my old drill of the same type used around the house and yard which lasted many years before the batteries died. Good for eveyday usage as drill or screwdriver. I use mine also as degasser for wine carboys. If you need something with a lot of torque or heavy garage work, you will need the electric models instead.

The Black and Decker wireless lines are amazing. Very powerful, versatile and great battery life. The batteries recharge quickly and accessories are plentiful and tough. I have one wireless and one plug in. Have done hundreds of Projects! There is NO wear anywhere. Tough as nails!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Is this drill and kit actually worth purchasing because the specs on CTC’s website here states different ones (RPM’s, torque, etc.) compared to the specs on the actual product box itself? I really don’t know if I should trust CTC or Black & Decker?

    • A: The CTC specs are screwed up - no way this cheepo drill has 1700in-lb of torque when high end ones are only at 500. Probably the torque listed as ftlb is really in inlb and the ridiculous numbers automatically converted from there. Definitely trust the box over a retailer's website.

    • A: Bonjour Nan77. Oui, c'est normal, car les balais de carbone passent devant le collecteur. Ces petites étincelles font partie du fonctionnement normal de la perceuse sans fil. Michelle, BLACK+DECKER

Q: I'd like to know why the manual does not list the accessories. Don't most manuals list the parts and accessories of the item, usually within the first few pages of the manual? I know they're shown on the back of the box, but I don't need to keep the box!

    • A: Totally Agree! I threw my box out but no longer have the description. I will take a picture of the box when in store then print it off and put it in the manual
