Possibly poor construction or materials

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this a little over a year ago, and only used it maybe 4 times. Recently took it out and something is wrong with the nozzle that takes in water from the tank. It doesn't seem to be taking in any water. It just makes a mechanical sound and nothing comes out of the steam head. Either that or it's not heating up fully to produce steam.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Non working clicking!

Only making a clicking sound when the button has been pushed. Bought several years ago but rarely used. There must be a recall or a problem.

B&D handheld steamer

I'm disappointed with the Black & Decker 1400w handheld steamer. It's heavy, difficult to handle and takes a really long time to get 1 garment done.

Disappointed!

Took this item out of its package and it did not work. Would turn on and heat up, but steam would not come out. As others have mentioned, this seems to be a very common issue. I read the manual, as well as reviews online. Nothing seemed to work. I am very disappointed!

To generate a constant flow of steam without holding the trigger, press the steam trigger and then slide the continuous steam switch down. This will activate the continuous steam feature. To turn the steam off, press the trigger, push the continuous steam switch up and then release trigger. Q: I've used this for quite some time but it suddenly stopped working. The steam iron appears to preheat/get warm but doesn't really produce any steam. I've checked the water level and plugged it into multiple outlets but it's still not working.
