Great kettle. I was almost tempted to buy more than I needed, but this kettle provided best value for the function and look. I usually prefer a kettle top with button-opening to avoid having my hands hit with steam, but not the case here. Boils fast, and looks great in my kitchen. Highly recommend!

like other reviews, this kettle is loud, but it boils quick so it doesnt bother me. i think of it as a safety feature, you know when it's heating up.

A: No, the kettle does not stay cool to the touch as the water boils. It gets quite hot, which is not a problem for me, but you do want to be aware of it.
