Q: Why should it not be used on batteries smaller than 10Ah What charger is good for variety of batteries, 3 to 30Ah, 6 and 12v?
10 years ago- A: Even at just 1.2A, this is too powerful for such small batteries. General rule of thumb is charge rate should be 1/10th of battery's Ah capacity. (There are batteries/situations that can handle much greater charge rates.) So, for example, batteries under 10Ah should use a charger under 1A, like NOCO's G750 or Battery Tender Jr, both of which are 0.75A.10 years agoHelpful?
