proper maintenance

powerful suction. I like it! People don't care about maintaining the filter. not only empty the canister but also needs a filter shake cause it gets plugged by very fine dust. People are so naive! roll up a garbage bag around your hand holding firmly the filter inside the bag shake and bang gently the filter against the floor several times until the fine dust falls of. and voila it is powerful again!

Suction power dropped within a year

This vacuum started off well but within a year the suction power decreased significantly. It would stop picking up light things from the ground. Called bissell and they said they would repair it and if that's not possible give me a new one. Unfortunately I was so disappointed that I was not interested in having this product around the house anymore that I just left it and got a new vacuum.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Thanks for the feedback, Bruce! If you’re using this machine primarily for carpet you may want to consider a vacuum with a spinning brush. Intended use: hardwood floor and small carpets in a family setting.
Results: Underpowered for my purpose, can't even pick up grains of sand or hair... I hope it breaks down soon so I can get another one
Recommendation: Don't buy this one...
