After reading some reviews here I decided to go ahead and give this one a try. I'm was happily surprised the thing does not move once in place. Chin ups, pull ups, no matter wide or narrow grip, like being at a gym, the thing does not move or dangle.
I bought this because I'm injured right now and can't go to my gym, and this more than does the job for some back and biceps work!

We bought this exerciser to use with P90X for all the pull ups required and it works well. Stays in the door frame sturdy and does not mark up the trim or anything. Does dent very easily as I dropped it by accident and it dented up the side pretty bad.....my fault in a way but for something metal it sure happened easily. Also, when putting it together, do not tighten the screws too hard or the metal will bend in quite easily. It serves its purpose well but a little cheaply made.

I've been using this for a few months now. Works surprisingly well. I have an 80 year old home and the frames have no problem supporting it, though I'm not huge (5'10, 165).
Like I said, it has no problem staying in the frame, leaves no marks or damage. My only complaints are that the foam/rubber padding ripped a bit on one side and when you use it for push-ups it slides while on the floor.

I just brought this home and have played with it a bit. It seems to fit in a doorframe (provided you have room on either side of the door) well, but I am a bit nervous that it will give way as I'm using it. I think I'll keep my feet close to the ground as I get used to it.
Otherwise, it doesn't appear as though it will damage the door frame - this was my concern as I purchased it. The only other option is to buy the traditional pull-up bar, which gets screwed into the frame, so I suppose this is a better option.
Don't forget to grease the bars before you put the grips on - they will not budge without the extra lubrication.

A: there are no extra brackets, what you see is what you get; it's easy to hang and it's easy to fall. I do not recommend it, it's not safe at all.

Q: Does the padding on this contain latex? I bought the Better Body Solutions Power Gym Exerciser a few years ago. Now that I have been diagnosed with a moderate latex allergy I need to figure out if I can keep it or not. Thanks.
