So, there are a few negative reviews for this switch from people who really don't know what they are doing. No offence. I've purchased and used many of these little switches and they are very convenient and work well. Easy to install. Very little work or tools required. Heck you can put one on a cord if you have a pair of scissors and a butter knife. lol
People are trying to use these for "heavy duty" jobs. It's a Lamp cord switch. You shouldn't use it to control major appliances. I use them for night lamps, hanging swag lamps, office arm lamps, etc. Only purchase these if you have a light duty project. Low amperage. Don't expect to get silk out of a sow's ear. Use it for what it was made for!!!

Switch is good idea but they need to make it slightly bigger to take a NOMA extension cord into consideration. The opening for the cord is too small. Seems like anything bigger than 18 ga. wire won’t fit.
