works great, was easy to install in my closet on the ceiling, remote works great and the motion activation works great. very bright so when you open the closet and move towards the inside the light comes on and it's bright enough so that you can find what you are looking for.

Bell & Howell wireless ceiling light poor quality control in overseas production

I had to return this ceiling lights 3 times before I could get a set that works. The first time the remote was completely dead, the second time the light would not come on at all, the third time the light was so dim, I could hardly see where my feet were landing and I had to get really close for the motion sensor would turn on the dim light. I wanted to exchange this set also one last time and finally the fourth set I was given worked as advertised. The light was bright, the motion sensor would turn on the light from motion at a fair distance, the remote worked and allowed switching from motion sensing to manual auto timing. This made in China product obviously lacked quality control. Bell & Howell should require and monitor quality control overseas and Canadian Tire should test any novelty products, before putting them on their shelves for sale.

It will not stay on for more than fifteen minutes at a time. Absolutely useless in any living area and annoying as all if used as a motion detector hallway light. I get that it's to extend battery life but, really, might as well get a pair of rechargeable ones and swap them out like you would a drill battery pack.

A: Yes the light can be turned on with the remote. If there is another light source in close proximity, the sensor will not engage.
