Shattered cup

I bought this measuring cup last month. Hardly used, but it shattered itself while it was securely stored in our pantry cupboard. Assume a manufacturing defect or poor quality of material.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What is the maximum temperature this cup can take. I plan on melting plastic for making baits and the temperature of the molten plastic will be around 350F.

A: Tempered Glass : Dishwasher, Freezer, Microwave and Oven safe up to 425 degrees Fahrenheit The Batter Bowl is intended and tested for normal Household cooking/baking uses and not intended for scientific or other non-cooking/baking uses.
