Have had this treadmill about 3 years and it has had light usage---it started after a year with motor stopping dead when you are running on it, now belt will not turn. Have contacted AFG with no response....will NEVER buy another AFG product!

great treadmill

Purchased this machine just a little over three months ago. Being over 300lbs, this machine will take the punishment. Is it quiet... not 100% but with the amount of force my body puts on it I would make noise too. It's sturdy... has a lot of great programs and can store multiple users. I love this treadmill and recommend it to anyone. only downfall is the box is really heavy... my recommendation is to bring everything into your house piece by piece... much easier

Moteur 3.0, Garantie à vie. Pièces 5 ans et 2 ans pour la main d'œuvre. Le tapis pèse 300 lbs. Je suis un homme de 6 pieds 195 lbs et le tapis bouge pas. C'est fait solide. Je cours 5-6 fois semaine une heure à chaque session. Bref pour le prix en spécial c'est le tapis que je cherchais pour la maison. Pour ce qui est des programmes c'est ok. Ce qui importe plus c'est la durabilité du produit et il répond à mes exigences.

Heavy Duty but poor quality control

I've had this unit for over a year and have found that it has some quirks. It is heavy duty! You will need help carrying and building the treadmill. I found that some of the screw holes on the frame did not match up with the holes in the plastic trim. So I ended up leaving some of the trim off. Once up and running the unit is quiet, all you can here is the pounding of feet, motor is quiet and belt is quiet. I have found a couple of the factory installed bolts did not have thread lock on them and have wriggled loose. This has caused some premature wear on the frames. Not happy about that. And a quirk about the software even though the unit is set to metric units, the speed buttons on the side are still mph. so hitting 5 will get you 8km/h.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Yes, the mechanism is easy to use and, with the help of an gas cylinder, smoothly goes down all by itself. No need to hold it yourself. Once folded, the length drop from 78" to 48" (footprint). In height, the folded part stands 60" high.

Q: Can a program be added to the AFG 7.3 that would allow a user create custom workouts? could there be more programms added to the AFG 7.3 treadmill?

A: The 7.3AT does not have custom programs. I did a comparison if the 5.3 and 7.3 on the afg website and these are the programs listed for the 7.3: Manual, Rolling Hills, Fat Burn, Target Heart Rate, 5K Run, Fitness Test (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, PEB, Gerkin) It is also in the manual (which has the programs for both consoles which is why I think the incorrect info got copied and pasted here).
