Product Details

When it comes to safe, smooth driving, trust the Michelin Defender 2 Tire. This all-season tire has been rigorously tested for both safety and longevity, proving more durable than comparable tire models with a tread life 25,000 miles longer. On average, that’s another two years of tread life you’ll enjoy. And like all Michelin tires, the Defender 2 tire is engineered for safety and control, so you can drive easy knowing these tires will help keep your vehicle safe.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

Good tires so far

Put them on my Forester a week ago. Seem to be pretty smooth so far.

Poor service at Canadian Tire.

The tires were returned. This is because the tires were old and not acceptable as new. One pair were made in September 2024 and the other pair were made in December 2024. This makes the tires up to 19 months old on the day of purchase. Given the limited lifespan of rubber this would mean that had I kept the tires and driven for one summer the tires would already be two years old drastically shortening their useful lifespan. I rarely buy anything from Canadian Tire due to this sort of absolute awful behaviour. At the time of purchase I asked the Tire Counter agent to check the date of manufacture. He told me "December". This is disingenuous and dishonest. Yet, it seems on par behaviour for your organization. My shopping will continue to be done elsewhere. Customer Service should be your primary focus yet treating customers poorly and seems to be your standard operating behaviour.

Poor Reliability

I am very disappointed with the Michelin Defender 2. The 4 tires are rated for 80,000 miles. However, I am experiencing uneven wear (feathering) on al 4 tires at 12,000 miles. I have documentation to prove I have been aligning my tires at Firestone since the tires were purchased new. The shocks and struts are new on my vehicle. However, I am experiencing noisy tires, and the roads feel bumpy all the time.

No, I do not recommend this product.
