The 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol indicates the tire is rated for Severe Snow Service. This is the acceptable standard for winter driving in Canada and provides improved safety on snow and ice.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

Accepts Studs

This tire can have studs installed to provide additional mechanical traction on icy surfaces. Studded tires are prohibited by law in many provinces. Ask at your local Canadian Tire store.

Nice looking Tire, too early to report on performance, need more travel time and also travelling in snow before I can truly rate the tires. Will do so when I find out for myself. I will give a 4 star based on the appearance. Nice thread pattern.

Q: I was told that it was against the law to purchase 2 winter tires for my truck, yet the BC MVA only requires winter tires on the drive axle ofnthe vehicle. Is this practice store policy?

A: I was told the same thing in SK. They wouldn't sell me just 2 tires. Had to be all 4. I went to the tire shop and bought 2.

A: If you magnify the picture of the tire on the website, you do not see the directional indicator on the side of the tire so they do not appear to be directional
