Product Details

The MotoMaster Winter Edge HD Tire is engineered to provide exceptional traction in snow and icy conditions, making it perfect for trucks and SUVs in harsh winter environments. Its heavy-duty design efficiently ejects snow ensuring enhanced mobility and safety. With reliable grip and performance, the Winter Edge HD offers drivers peace of mind while navigating challenging cold-weather conditions. These tires are ideal for those who need durability and control during winter months.

Snow Peak Rated

The 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol indicates the tire is rated for Severe Snow Service. This is the acceptable standard for winter driving in Canada and provides improved safety on snow and ice.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

Accepts Studs

This tire can have studs installed to provide additional mechanical traction on icy surfaces. Studded tires are prohibited by law in many provinces. Ask at your local Canadian Tire store.

  • Provides advanced winter performance on ice through the innovative silica tread compound and increased rubber-to-road contact surface

  • Snow grooves deliver excellent snow braking and acceleration

  • Solid centre rib and overall construction of the Winter Edge HD improve handling, especially when the vehicle is loaded or towing

  • Wheels sold separately

WINTER tires vs ALL SEASON tires.

I decided to put WINTER tire on the truck rather than ALL SEASON. The tread has a good depth and bites into the snow very well. Traction on ice is amazingly good.

It could not have been worse.

The system that manages inventory has more holes than my socks. (An employee stated: Anything below 10 units in our system is not reliable!!!) I had to go to multiple stores to buy 4 tires because no one could tell exactly where the tires were available and in what quantity. The employees at Polo Park were talking between themselves in Punjabi or Hindi in front of me. An absolute lack of respect. The fact that you have to talk to the "tire guys" to define the product and then be sent to another team to check physical inventory is ridiculous from the CX perspective. Look at your internal processes - they are outdated and penalize the customers. Not to mention that you have to carry the tires yourself to your car, and no one would at least help me get a cart to help... Yes, I had to carry the tires to my car because I had to go to a 4th location to buy the rims... Canadian Tire is absolutely a recognized brand, but it's on the same track as Hudson's Bay - extinction! You are failing to serve customers and are more focused on your own outdated structural preferences. A total and real shame.

Quality Tires

These tires are Made in USA by Cooper Tires (owned by Goodyear). Nice quality for the price, purchased during a 25% off and 30x the points event. Winter traction is greatly improved compared to winter-rated all terrain tires. Worry mentioning is the hydroplane resistance - I found in deep standing water that I wished it had a slightly improved resistance to skid compared to my Cooper Rugged Trek on the same vehicle as a comparison. These are on my 2022 Ram 1500 Classic in 275/60R20. Haven’t had them long enough to determine durability/tread wear compared to their mileage rating.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions

Q: I was told that it was against the law to purchase 2 winter tires for my truck, yet the BC MVA only requires winter tires on the drive axle ofnthe vehicle. Is this practice store policy?

3 Answers
  • A: I was told the same thing in SK. They wouldn't sell me just 2 tires. Had to be all 4. I went to the tire shop and bought 2.
