The BFGoodrich Winter T/A KSI Tire is engineered for optimal winter traction and handling. The tire’s specialized winter compound contains more silica for exceptional grip on snow and ice, along with additional stability in warmer winter conditions. The high sipe density and serrated shoulder profile supply additional bite on packed snow. Saw-toothed groove edges and 3D sipes maximize the edges that grip snow and ice while increasing shoulder block stability. Snow Peak Rated

The 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol indicates the tire is rated for Severe Snow Service. This is the acceptable standard for winter driving in Canada and provides improved safety on snow and ice.

Q: This BFG T/A KSI Canadian Tire spec sheet says the tire weightt is 46.95 pounds. Isn't that excessive? Is it a mistake? Most passenger tires I've seen are 20-25 pounds. I have a Toyota Corolla 4 door LE, 205-55-16, 1.8 L engine

Q: Why are all of the reviews noting their travel in "miles"? Being "Canadian Tire" I would have expected it to be noted in KM. Something doesn't make sense here.

A: Some of the reviews for tires on our website come from the manufacturer's website, bfgoodrich.com. Some of the reviewers on their site are in the USA and so they use miles rather than kilometers.

I love them. I’ve had all three versions of the mud terrain line on my truck (I have owned it for over thirty years, 316,000 miles). The original looked great, wore reasonably well but mileage suffered. The KM2 provided poor mileage and looked worn after 5000 miles. I didn’t like them at all and went to Cooper’s for the next set. I didn’t want to buy the KM3 when it was time for new tires but the comparable All Terrain was too wide for my wheels so I went ahead and got the KM3s (255/85 16- Tall and skinny). My mileage is back to what I was getting with stock tires. No noticeable road noise, of course my 4x4 Cummins is kinda noisy already. Finally, I’m not sure how many miles I have put on them but probably at least 10K and they still look the same as new. I’m not doing heavy offroad driving but snow, mud and steep gravel driveways have not been a problem so I think traction is more than adequate.

Yes, I recommend this product.

These work great here in the Lower Mainland in BC Canada for the ton of rain and the odd bit of snow we get. The grip is superb and I feel safe driving on the roads.
