The Firestone WeatherGrip tires seem to be good so far. We have not had a lot of snow yet. It has been slushy and icy and the tires have worked well.

These tires are really quiet, provide a great ride and have proven fine on wet roads. No snow so can't comment yet on performance in those conditions.

  • A: It's very noisy, buy a cheap set of summer and winter tires for a little more than the single set price. Thank me later.

Q: Is installation included in price when purchasing from CT? If not, what is the pricing for new tire installation, alignment and balancing? This is regarding Firestone Weathergrip 235/60/18 on a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander GT.

  • A: I purchased mine during a sale and the price included installation and balancing. I did not purchase the alignment. I purchased all weather as winter tires are required by my insurance company for winter use. It is for my second vehicle which I rarely drive (less than 2000 km annually) and it saves me from having 2 sets of tires - one for summer and one for winter. All in all an excellent choice for my needs.

Q: 2016 Honda CRV Touring. am looking for new all weather tires. How noisy are these? had a very bad experience with Nokian all weather, and not looking to repeat.

  • A: I had the same issue with Nokian. This brand is much much better. Drive like all season tires. At times, it is a bit noisy on hi-way but not really noticeable. This set is comparable to Nokian in the winter but much cheaper. I will buy again when this set is done.

Q: How does the 105000km warranty actually work???? In laymans terms.......

2 Answers
  • A: As explained by my local Canadian Tire - There is no actual 105000 km warranty. The associate I talked to had never heard of Supplemental Mileage Warranty that has been referred to here. They told me there is only an "expectation" that you may be able to get that amount of life out of a tire if you do all the maintenance required. I bought a set of 4 tires in 2022 and after 60,000 km they were finished. Tires were rotated at the dealership and an alignment was done when I purchased the tires.

Q: 1. Is this tire available for R14, or do I have to buy R15 rims to be able to get this tire? What R14 versions are there? 2. It's VERIFIED to FIT my 1999 Volkswagen Golf (GL). Does this mean this tire will fit ONLY if I already have (or buy) R15 rims?

1 Answer
  • A: The tire being installed must match the rim size it is being installed on. Please visit your CTC store so that they can assist in choosing the tire that is appropriate for your vehicle.

Q: What size of this tire will fit my 2017 acura rdx

1 Answer
  • A: The 2017 Acura RDX and the base size is a P235/60R18 102V. The WeatherGrip does have a 235/60R18 103H so there is a difference in speed ratings. Please double check your tire size as it may be different (depending on the RDX model) by checking the sidewall on their current tire as well as looking inside the driver side door for a sticker that shows the size information.
