Product Details

Michelin X-Ice Xi3 Tire provides ultimate winter confidence over many kilometers, enabling you and your loved ones to fully embrace winter even in the harshest conditions.

Snow Peak Rated

The 3 Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol indicates the tire is rated for Severe Snow Service. This is the acceptable standard for winter driving in Canada and provides improved safety on snow and ice.

Mud And Snow Rated

The M+S symbol differentiates an All-Season tire from a Summer only tire. While rated for light snow, they will not match a winter tire for traction or stopping distance on snow and ice.

  • Michelin X-Ice Xi3 Tire features MaxTouch Construction™ for a uniquely-shaped contact patch that maximizes tread life by evenly distributing the forces of acceleration, braking and cornering

  • Michelin GREEN X guarantees a high level of energy efficiency that is the one of the highest on the market while maintaining safety, long wear and other performance features

  • Built with 3rd generation Winter grip technology that stops 7% shorter on ice and 3% shorter on snow when compared to previous generations of this tire

  • Uniquely-shaped vertical sipes control shear stress that reinforces tread block robustness

Bye bye Michelin

Lousy wear. The first set came with car and got 35,000 miles wear. Replaced them with a a second set and they are ready down to 5/32 of tread in just 18,000 miles. They were advertised to be good for 50,000 miles. I used to respect the Michelin brand, but not anymore.

We're sorry to hear your Primacy MXM4 tires have not delivered the tread life expected. Tire wear can be influenced by several factors, including vehicle application, alignment, inflation pressure, and maintenance history. To determine whether you may qualify for mileage warranty assistance, we recommend having the tires inspected by an authorized tire retailer and contacting our Consumer Care team with the inspection results. We can be reached at 866-866-6605 (Mon–Fri 8 AM–7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM–1 PM EST).

Fantastic

Used them ona RWD Mustang here in Green Bay. These are great tires. I’m going to use them on our 26 Accord Hybrid this winter. I’ll always buy Michelin.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Primacy Tires need replacing in 29k miles

Don't believe mileage warranty on Michelin Primacy tires. All 4 Michelin Primacy tires installed in March '24 on 2015 Ford Explorer XLT are worn down and need replaced after 29k miles as of October '26. Regular tire rotations were performed and all tires show ever wear across the groove pattern, but are just worn down to the tread wear indicator bars. Overall Traction, ride comfort, and noise were average at best.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We're sorry to learn you've experienced rapid wear with your Primacy MXM4 tires. To determine whether you may qualify for warranty assistance, we recommend having the tires inspected by an authorized tire retailer. After the inspection, please contact our Consumer Care team at 866-866-6605 (Mon-Fri 8 AM-7 PM EST, Sat 9 AM-1 PM EST). We'd be happy to review the inspection results and discuss any warranty options that may be available.

Smooth and Quiet

Tires ride smooth and quiet. I don't have a heavy foot on the brake and haven't put a great deal of mileage on them, so everything's great.

Great winter traction with a smooth ride

These tires have amazing grip along with a very smooth ride. We had one of the worst winters in upstate New York this past year and were able to travel safely without any issues with our Michelin X-Ice tires. Also the ride was so smooth on dry days that I forgot I was driving on winter tires. Very satisfied. A++++

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: My Audi Q3 has 19" low pro tires, which are expensive! A tire shop told me that, for winter tires, I can go to an 18" with a larger rim. Is this correct? Any feedback on how well this works?

3 Answers
  • A: We would recommend working with Canadian Tire or other retailer so that they can determine if the rim/tire combination is a suitable replacement, taking all factors into consideration, such as load index, speed rating, clearance, rim width, etc.
