Do golf balls go bad with age?

Golf balls are very durable and can last up to 10 years, but eventually UV light and temperature swings can cause the plastic shell to degrade and become brittle leading to cracks.

Do golf balls go bad in water?

Unless the shell is cracked, golf balls are waterproof, and discolouration is the worst effect water can create.
