my first rice cooker

I have had this cooker for about three weeks now and have used it almost every day. I haven't tried any of the non-rice settings yet, but the rice setting are great and the GABA rice sprouting option is really neat. It takes about 4 hours to cook on that setting but you can set it with a timer in the morning to have it ready in the evening. Regular brown rice setting takes about 90 minutes. The steam vent on top, the inner lid, and pot all come out and are very easy to clean. I am not sure how long the inner lid seal (or seal above it to the steam vent) will last, but they tolerate hand cleaning and I think regular cleaning will prevent unnecessary and damaging hard scrubbing. The only thing I don't like about it is that the lid will not stay shut when the inner lid is removed, when cleaning and drying after use for example. A heavy plate works well to keep things out, though! The pot is lined with non-stick but it is pretty difficult to find these without that and those typically do not come with the "Fuzzy logic" treatment, either. Overall, a great machine that has streamlined my evenings. It isn't the kind of thing that will save money, but I can focus on other things like laundry or reading instead of trying not to burn my rice! I have never mastered cooking rice and I cannot believe I waited this long to get a rice cooker.

Q: 3 cups means: can one put 3 cups of uncooked rice into the vessel - resulting in at least 6 cups of cooked rice, or is the maximum result 3 cups of cooked rice?

A: I inspect this up close and I think they mean 3 cups cooked rice , there is no way it could be 3 uncooked. the pot is so tiny. it is ok for one person.

A: it is safe but I personaly wouldn't put them in dishwasher, it can scratch the liner inside the pots also heat can damage the plastic parts.
