Kinks so bad can't even wrap this hose for storage

I bought this hose and used it for the first time, it kinks so bad that I kept losing water pressure and I would have to untangle the hose so many times in one use, it kinks so bad that is starts building itself vertically off the ground so untangling it requires alot of effort to get it back to shape, I miss rubber hoses :( I wouldn't recommend this hose if you need something flexible and something that doesn't kink, wish I saved my money :(

No, I do not recommend this product.

Kinks and problems from the start

Previous to this I had a couple hoses from Canadian tire that were over 10 years old, left outside in the winter, and rarely kinked. Purchased this hose to replace/upgrade the other ones. Huge mistake. The first one I bought was packaged so tightly, that the hose already had creases and kinked in these spots. Got it replaced under warranty with a new one (and the lady said A LOT of people had this problem. This seemed better, but the hose was still creased somewhat and would kink in those spots. Then yesterday was using the hose, and it split open in one of those spots. It’s like less than a year old. Complete trash. Do not buy.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very disappointed

Very unhappy with this hose. It had a link as soon as I opened it and couldn’t get it out so the water wouldn’t flow properly. Spend a little more and get a better quality.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How do I connect a spray nozzle to the hose? Why isn't the hose ribbed on the one side to attach a nozzle? There is like a flat part on the hose that seems welded on so I cant get to the ribbed part. I am seriously confused.

  • A: Sounds like something is missing. I've owned two of these hoses. Both have been returned because they were faulty.

  • A: Allow me to give you a better answer than Flexon. For some reason they put on a male end that swivels instead of a solid piece. Unfortunately they also did not put on a collar or anything to grip so you can hold this piece in place while unscrewing any devices you attached to your hose. Your best bet is to take a pair of channel locks to grip the little bit of connector sticking out from under your nozzle while you twist your nozzle off. Be careful though, the swivels on the male and female end both leaked on me first use. It sounds like your nozzle has be tightened down and you are just spinning the swiveled connector instead of unscrewing the nozzle, essentially. Ask Flexon to send you a can of WD40 so you can use their product.

Q: Is there a shop that factory crimps a male hose connector? male connectors sold out there are not good enoutgh

1 Answer
  • A: Our vendor is not exactly sure what you are asking. The vendor has replied saying that there are plenty of hose makers in the city (usually under hydraulic hoses). They are unsure what you are needing however it would not be from a retail style shop as neither we nor other retailers that we are aware of, can machine crimp on hose connectors to an existing hose as a form of repairing.
