Got it for a cheap option. It is what it is. Great for fluffy snow. If you need to put any muscle into harder snow the plastic just buckles and will break.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I am so disappointed in all the 18 inch Snow Shovels NOT having a steel wear strip. I really Love the vibrant Red color of this Yardworks Snow Shovel, but why on Earth doesn't it have an essential steel wear strip for scooping snow more efficiently?

A: I bought mine BECAUSE IT DOES NOT have a steel edge, so that I don't scrape my new deck. I wanted and was looking for a plastic edge.
