Worth Every Penny.

Very easy to put together (about 15 minutes). I was skeptical about the power and job it could do but once I got it running it was perfect. Was around 40C with humidity the day I used it and I was worried the motor would overheat but it was not a problem. The soil in my garden was very dry after a week of 35C temperature and no rain. It tilled it up nice. Don't push it. Just let the machine rotors do the moving and guide it to where you want. I had read in a review before buying the tiller that it worked better pulling it backwards and I found the same. It dug up the soil better and quicker pulling it backwards. Took me about 30 mins to till an area approximately 220 square feet.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Not a toy, actually works well. Turned my lumpy garden soil to fine ready to seed soil without hoeing and did a much better job. Seems to be well built. Should last many years.

Easy & Fast

I assembled this quickly and it tore through my compressed garden in no time. Works best when you pull rather than push. Used for hours no problem. No tired arms and everything was turned nicely. Only two complaints. 1. The assembly instructions were not very clear. 2. There is a gap between the tiller blades so it leaves a small valley. Nothing terrible, you just have to smooth things out on your own or reshape if you're doing rows since the valley and peaks are too close. Overall I'm very pleased. I wish I had bought one years ago.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: What is difference between 8a yardworks tiller and the 10a yardworks tiller. And which is better

1 Answer
  • A: Both units are good units and work very well for their desired task. The 8a model is high in low end torque for heavy digging. The 10a tiller is an updated model which provides different handling and control. Both will be great choices and can handle their desired jobs.

Q: Is the tilling depth adjustable to less than 5 inches?

1 Answer
  • Greenworks Tools

A: Hello DeeZee This tiller provides up to 5" (12.7 cm) tilling depth, 6-1/2" to 8-3/4" (16.5 to 22 cm) tilling width. Shallow cultivating (less than 2” [5 cm] deep) can be used to disrupt weeds and aerate soil without injuring nearby plant roots. It should be done often so that weeds do not grow large and get tangled in the tines of the tiller/cultivator. The two outer blades can be removed from the unit to allow a narrower cultivating width. If you still have questions or just want to speak to a Greenworks product expert, please contact our Greenworks customer service department at 1-888-909-6757.
