Bad Charger

Charger stop working after using for 3 years and 7 months. The warranty already ran out. Called customer service and was told there is no service depot to repair charger. End up buying another charger and sent the defective one to recycling. Poor quality.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Gr8 item

This is the only charger my Canadian Tire carries. It does not carry the larger charger so can't upgrade to a better one. Does the job but only will last until the 3 yr warranty is off.keep that in mind when you buy it

Charged the battery once then died. Unit was still brand new. Brought it to the store of purchase and the store manager accused me of buying it at a garage sale! No warranty or replacement.

No, I do not recommend this product.

poor charger + offensive in-store customer service

Charger just stopped working after perhaps total life-use of 15 recharges. Followed-up with the Positec customer service address that frequently appears in these faulty Yardworks charger reviews and was directed back to my store of purchase, Vancouver/Cambie, where the customer service manager was so immediately condescending and utterly unhelpful she took my breath away. Recommendation: avoid!!

Not charging anymore within 2 years

My first charger came with my lawnmower and it stopped charging within 2 years of ownership. I was looking at the reviews and I see this appears to be a very common issue. I'm on the fence on buying another one that I expect to last only a few months, or buy a different brand of lawnmower... It's a shame as the mower itself works quite well. This feels like it should be the easy component to build. So I don't recommend Yardworks tools because of that battery charger...

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

Q: I bought a yardworks battery and charger a year ago but now there are no charging lights on the charger. Any suggestions?

  • A: This is a common problem with these chargers. I've replaced mine 3 times under warranty. I have a small yard and don't need to charge it more than 3-4 times for the summer and inevitably, I replace it every summer. It's annoying. This year I will have to pay to replace it as the warranty has expired.
