Battery won’t charge

The battery on our yard trimmer started having difficulties so we decided to get a second battery. We had to travel to another city in order to get one as they no longer exist. After travelling Two hours each way, the battery would not charge. Even though it was exactly the same battery as we had previously. Our battery will still charge for a few minutes, but this one would not charge at all. There is another battery still in existence, but it is two hours the opposite direction from our city, so I don’t really want to take the risk and drive to pick it up. The store refused to deliver it. Wouldn’t even deliver it to my local Canadian tire. The one positive thing in my saga is that my local Canadian tire did take the battery back, and gave us a gift card in return.

I have purchased a YARDWORKS WEEDER last year, battery does not hold the charge, very disappointed with the product. Replacement battery is practically same price as the whole unit

A: No. The NiCd batteries and Li-ion batteries are not interchangeable. They also do not use the same charger.

A: Battery 0602336 is not compatible with trimmer 0602273. The trimmer in question was powered by Ni-Cad battery and we have fully discontinued the platform.
