Excellent product!! Works well and battery charges quickly. This is a repeat buy of this product as I was so pleased with the first one that I purchased many years ago.

Heading into 3rd season, still going strong

Lightweight, easy to manoeuvre, and powerful for a cordless - I was so impressed I bought a second one for the cottage.
The only problem was the battery on one of them - heading into the second season, it wouldn't hold a charge for very long (an issue noted by other reviewers here). I called Yardworks and once they confirmed the serial number of the battery, they shipped me another one right away, which has worked fine.

Trimmer worked well to cut my hedge. Only issue was the charger did not last for the battery and had to get another.

Worked for one season.

Not sure what was wrong with mine, it worked ok for the first summer. For the second summer a different story, a fully charged battery would only work for about 2 minutes, I thought the battery was bad so I paid 40 bux for a new one, charged it up, same problem. That left either the charger or the unit to be defective. I got fed up and bought a different trimmer, this time a bought a GreenWorks, but to my dismay, I realized that GreenWorks is the same company as YardWorks. At least the new trimmer I bought has a 4 year warranty, I'm definitely holding on to the receipt.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This trimmer is pretty good for small shrubs etc. The only thing I wish it had was a back up battery.

Q: Can you get replacement parts for this trimmer? The handle broke off my trimmer. I see that it's only screwed on. Can I get a new handle?

A: the handle also broke off my hedge trimmer model #60-3023-4 and when I phoned the number given below on June 12/14 I was told by Sunrise who service the Yardworks tools that the handle was no longer available. However I was able to order it as long as I paid for it even though my hedge trimmer was still under warranty. I was also told the handle does not come with instructions telling you how to attach it.

Q: Can i take Battery in Air Checked Baggage I have bought hedger and blower which are cordeless of YARDWORKS. It has got battery, so can i take it with me in my Baggage in Plane. It is 18 V lith-ion batteries packed in box of equipment.Please reply urgently. Thank you.

Q: Will the 20V li-ion Yardworks battery work on this hedger? I have the 20V Yardworks grass trimmer and wanted to purchase the hedger trimmer that uses the same battery. If thie hedge trimmer is not compatible with that battery which one is? thanks.

A: This product’s battery will work with 60-2272 Yardworks 18 volt ni-cad grass trimmer. Unfortunately it is not compatible with Yardworks li-ion product
