For the price and the amount of wood in the package not very impressed. It has no kindling like the old ones did. And to make kindling takes away from the small amount of wood you get.

the logs and dry, but at least 2 of the logs did not burn even with enough fire. They just emitted smoke and were probably burning on the inside - more like charcoal, but no visible fire.

A: Yes, I use it all the time. It's hardwood, which is what's recommended for wood burning ovens. Ideally, you'd buy a nice premium maple, but these bags are very economical and everything burns clean. The only ash I get is from the kindling, and even that is very tame.
