    Does the job, but a little finicky!

    This does the job and will cut through small bushes and trees like butter. But, the chain does like to jump off the mount. An easy fix, but it gets old. Still, a good purchase overall.

    Poor Manual

    Unit does not have a chain/bar oiler. Have to oil manually. The manual is totally useless, no accompanying text to explain, just pictures.

    Hello! Thank you for sharing your experience and review! The tool requires manual chain lubrication as part of normal operation and maintenance. Before use and periodically during cutting, apply a few drops of bar and chain oil directly to the chain and guide bar, paying particular attention to the guide bar groove and the tip area where the chain travels around the nose sprocket. For safe application and even distribution of the lubricant, remove the battery and rotate the chain by hand along the guide bar. Wearing protective gloves is recommended whenever handling or servicing the chain. Regular lubrication reduces friction between the chain and guide bar, helps minimize component wear, improves cutting efficiency, and extends the service life of the cutting system. Users should consult the instruction manual for specific lubrication intervals and maintenance recommendations. Because the tool does not incorporate an automatic chain-oiling system, the chain and guide bar must be lubricated manually throughout operation as needed to maintain proper performance.     Frustrating product and customer service

    Within 30 minutes the chain came off the saw. Then I spent another 30 minutes trying to get the chain back on! Even with YouTube videos and instructions, I couldn't get it back on. Returned the item and then Canadian Tire told me they would not refund me because I had used the product! Bad customer service. Ended up with a gift card instead! :(

    Clears hedges and plants blocking the sidewalks.

    Gets rids of large hedges that block the sidewalks! I use a Wheelchair, and I used to carry pruning cutters to cut one branch at a time. I tried a Hedge Trimmer but it kept getting jammed by the branches, but this device slices through anything! I was very impressed! The only thing I dislike is how leaves get stuck around the drive wheel, so I have to remove the chain cover to clear it out.

    • A: Hello there! Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the WG326 does require oil, but it does not have a built-in reservoir like larger chainsaws. Instead, you manually apply bar and chain oil directly to the chain and guide bar. Before use, you should turn off the tool, remove the battery, and apply a small amount of oil along the bar and chain where they make contact. After reinstalling the battery, briefly run the saw to help distribute the oil evenly.
