Seems well made.

It seems to be well-made. I've done a couple of passes over the lawn, with the tines set at the highest (i.e. least aggressive) level above the ground, and it took out a lot (!) of thatch on a lawn that needed it. It's hard to know long-term, but first impressions are good. The three year warranty is reassuring.

it works really great but its a little hard to push it even with the highest setting. its an ok machine for the price some area of the grass got cut way too short when I stopped for 1-3 second but cleaned out my front yard from all the seeds of the side trees.

Poor wheels

Purchased this a couple of months ago. Used it 3X so far. I was wondering why the wheels were seize up so often (especially on uneven ground). I found that after removing the wheels that there are no bearings (plastic on plastic) and no lubrication whatsoever. After 3 uses it looks like the wheels will be sufficiently worn after a few more uses that they will likely break off. I recommend using white Lithium grease before first use and regularly afterwards. These wheels should be redesigned using a proper bearing. Otherwise, it dethatches quite nicely. I also find that the bagger gets too full far too fast (I use it without it and rake the leftovers afterwards).
No, I do not recommend this product.

Disappointing Experience.

I purchased this one and after one use this one died. Then went to CT for refund they say they can not refund they can only exchange. They have the worse refund policy even though I was within return or refund period.

A: Just bought this machine on easter monday, it works better without the bag. had it on selector 3 for deeper dehatching, The bag drags in the grass . making it harder to push and comes off his suppots, it hardly collects anything.

A: Good question. I really don't know about creeping Charlie, however I have used mine at the several depths and it really deeply dethatches and also rakes well at highest setting. It does not pull my crabgrass or other creepers but i still think it is great !

A: never tried, I have always raked up the majority of stones the city gravel trucks spread on the street that ends up on my lawn, Then us the detacher. does the machine pick up the grass?? not very good, but detaches ok and after I just blow or quickly rake up dead grass. Does my lawn in less than half the time. bought mine on sale and like it.only used it 3 times
