A: I was under the impression that the WA0014 spools were also part of the "spools for life" offer when I bought the 40v strimmer. When I ordered replacement spools, I was sent the smaller WG184 spools which obviously do not fit. $13 is pretty high for a single spool.

A: yes, the spools are refillable. just rewind carefully and do not overlap line. it should work great on grass and edge trimming. thick brush will go thru a lot of line, use a blade type head for that and a 4 cycle gas trimmer for tough brush and small trees
