Pleased but just lacking 5he hook

Love the chairs but they need a hook under the seat to hold it on the bleachers. It slides on the bleachers without the hook underneath to hold it in place. The chai is very comfortable but that was the only complaint.

A: Thanks for your interest in the WOODS canoe seat. Although the seat would work in your aluminum boat – most boats as you describe have no way of attaching straps – or running a strap under the seat like a canoe does – and therefore no way of securing it in place. As long as you are seated – your weight will hold it in place. Lift up, or stand up – seat has nothing holding it there - and may fall off the alum bench. With those types of boats any type of seat you place on top of the bench will have the same issue It’s a great seat (see reviews!) – but the boat design does not allow for it to be secured in place

Q: Do you think this could be used on a stand-up paddle board with a few added straps or bungees to keep it in place?

A: The WOODS canoe seat is specifically designed for use in a canoe – as you noted, there are no attachment points for use with a stand up paddle board. There really is no way to secure the seat to the board, any straps or bungees used would not hold the seat in place - so this is not an option.

Q: I have an old canoe and the webbing has rotted. Instead of replacing the webbing on the seat I was thinking of using these to lay across the webbing frame. Does the canoe seat need to be intact?

Q: How does this "autofold"? I tried one and picked it up - the seat flops out and definitely does not fold!

A: The Woods Canoe Seat is best utilized when strapped securely into the canoe. Any usage without the seat being positioned and strapped correctly could result in unintended movement – which is not ideal in a canoe. Children are especially prone to quick, unplanned movements – and this could easily cause problems like tipping, falling out, or contact with the side walls of the canoe. Unfortunately it is not recommended for use as you describe.

A: This product will work with bleachers. There is a buckle system under the seat that can be used to attached this item to bleachers same as in a canoe.
