    Pretty Decent Hut

    I bought this a few years ago and have really liked it. It could be heavier material but I have had it frozen down and chipped out, Slept overnight in -30 or colder weather with a good heater. Fits a cot inside for luxury overnighters. Plenty big for two guys to fish or one guy tons of room. Plus you can stand up in it. The zipper was about the only downside to this hut as it can be pretty sticky, and the pull tab ripped off it quickly. Was a good purchase.

    The ice shelter was advertised as being 600D Poly. After unpacking I realized it was only 300D. Big difference! Big disappointment!

    Worth buying, not junk

    Just picked this up last night and had it out today. It was -1C and about a 40km/h wind. Very light and well built. Set it up and tore it down myself in the wind, but literally just push and collapse each wall and the roof and it easily folds up and goes in the big storage bag they give you. Comes with 8 pegs to screw it down, 1 per corner for the floor, and 4 more with guidelines for each wall. In that wind today it didn't move at all. I bought a woods sleeping bag a few years ago and it's one of my favourite possessions. That made me go for the tent. Woods seems to be great stuff. Looked almost exactly the same as the Eskimo 949 and was the same price. I would buy this if you are wondering about it. Seems like something that would be made in Canada or USA due to the build quality. But its indeed made in China. This was a $400 shot in the dark as I've never heard or seen about anyone buying one, but glad I picked it up.

    Good entry-level Ice Fishing Tent

    This shelter is a good buy. I bought it in Dec 2014 and put it to lots of use (probably 12-15 outings) between that time and the end of the season (end of March 2015). The shelter is relatively light if you have to carry it across ice not yet thick enough to drive on yet, is easy to set up. Like any ice shelter, ensure you understand how to properly anchor your shelter in windy situations. I found that this tent + a buddy heater provided a comfortable environment to fish in even at -25ºC with a bit of a wind on. I found it easy to pack up and will fit into it's carrying bag easily also.
