Just bought today. Sturdy, and wood finish looks nice. One must be careful not to lose the many little black rubber end closures, which seem to want to fall out. Maybe glue them in after purchase ? otherwise a good buy.

Q: Does it need to be affixed to anything? Does this trellis need to be secured to a wall or edge, or can it stand on its own when inserted in the ground? I am looking for a trellis to use with my beans, peas, cucumbers and zucchini.

A: Hello, this trellis stands up on its own when inserted into the ground, just fine. However, with some of the vegetables you're looking to have climb up it, I actually do recommend securing it to a wall with anchors. Climbing vines and flowers (clematis, morning glory, etc.) will not require anchoring, but I'm just looking to make sure you've got a more secure, sturdy trellis in place for your intended plans. With the heftier vegetables you mentioned growing up it adding torque to the trellis, I'd be worried about it getting pulled forward if it isn't secured along the top portion. I hope this helps!
