Good set of connectors at better value than buying individually. These aren't as nuce to work with as Sharkbite brand connectors but thwy do the job. Sharkbites can be removed more easily but these ones can be installed just as smoothly.

Not like the sharkbite brand. Work good once put on, but hopefully dont have to remove. Takes about 4x the froce. Id buy the sharkbite brand next time. They come off with a nice push and pull.

Q: How to remove Push and Connect fittings Please provide detailed instructions on how to remove the fittings. I tried the removal tool without success. If the fittings cannot be removed easily you need to identify this in the packaging.

A: To remove a fitting, slip the disconnect tool over the pipe and push it against the beige plastic collar that sticks out of the fitting. At the same time, pull the pipe firmly away from the fitting. The simultaneous pushing and pulling pressures should cause the collar to move forward slightly into the fitting, which releases the grip teeth that keep the fitting attached to the pipe. If for whatever reason this does not seem to be working, please contact the manufacturer who will arrange for in-house staff to give you call and walk you through the process on the phone. Q: What is the difference between these and Sharkbite connectors? Or are they the same thing?

A: Sharkbite is a brand of PEX fittings, and the brand that Canadian Tire carries is Push N’ Connect brand. Sharkbite and Push N Connect fittings can be used for the same job. They are certified to be used for Copper, PEX or CPVP for Potable Water & Hydrolics. These fittings are lead free and meet ASSE 1061 and cUPC standards.
