Q: "Connection Type: Pipe to Pipe" Requisite Welding or Flanges/Bolts connect ?

  • A: Hello there, Yes, The Walker 93236 Universal Converter uses a pipe-to-pipe connection and must be welded in place—no flanges or bolts are involved.   • A: Whenever replacing a catalytic converter for internal (not-structural) failure, be sure to have your vehicle properly diagnosed for any and all ’upstream’ issues that would have contributed to the initial converter’s failure. An engine that operates more efficiently will see power increases, as a vehicle running properly may indeed recover some lost efficiency by replacing the catalytic converter.
