What did I do after the spin function on my first bucket stopped working? Well let me tell you, I went and threw another $40 at this company! And how long did that one last? Less than 6 months! Awesome right? I’m so disappointed with this company. The spin function is great in theory but clearly the products are made of inferior materials. Terrible.

Q: question about the vileda spin mop - just purchased one and was so excited to use it. However I'm wondering if everyone's bucket jumps...dances merrily across the floor when you pump the foot pedal.

A: You need to put some pressure on the mop in the wringer as you pump the foot pedal. That will weigh the bucket down and it won't move.

A: Yes the pedal has also failed for me. It gets stuck and I have to release the pedal with my hands. It only spins once and then I have to release the pedal again .

Q: Even after spinning several times, my mop is very wet - to the point where I need to squeeze the excess water out with my hands. Am I doing something wrong or do I have a defective product?

Q: I have an older model spin mop it does not have a foot pedal , My problem is that the handle of my spin mop is cracked and I cant find a replacement without buying the whole system again. Very disappointed .

A: Since the mop handle is broken and you need to invest in a new mop , i would recommend upgrading to a whole new system including the bucket with a foot pedal. It is easy to use and more effective getting the right level of water in the mop for the job at hand.
