Mice are surprisingly strong for their size and can sometimes move lightweight traps, especially if they’re not secured or placed strategically. For best results, try positioning the traps along walls or known travel paths, as mice tend to follow edges rather than cross open spaces. You can also secure the traps in place (for example, with a bit of tape or by placing them against a solid surface) to prevent them from being moved.
Bait placement can also make a difference. Using a small amount of attractive bait, like peanut butter, and ensuring it’s positioned correctly on the trigger can help improve catch rates.
If the mouse is traveling between the garage and attic, placing multiple traps along that route may increase your chances of success.

Buy a different kind

Only about half of them actually hold when you set it. The other half snap on you and get peanut butter everywhere. Would not buy again very useless.

For best results, try applying a small amount of bait and placing it directly in the bait cup, as too much bait can interfere with proper triggering. Also, ensure the trap is set on a flat surface and that the pedal is pressed down firmly until it clicks into place.
