      Bright but over-focussed

The light is nice and bright, but all of the light is directed straight forward... there's not much visibility from the sides. The unit I bought didn't have the "low power" mode that it's supposed to have, and I gather from the other person asking about it on this site that it's not an uncommon failing. I found it difficult to remove the light from its mounting on the bike.

No, I do not recommend this product.

      pretty good for the money

I have gone through a lot of headlights for my bike as I do a lot of night riding. This one is good because it is secured snugly on the handlebar and won't fall off with every bump. it gives bright light so you can actually see where you are going, needless to say, others will see you too. It also uses regular batteries, no funny charging and no expensive coin batteries. You can detach the light source and use it as a regular flash light.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      Questions

      1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: How is "energy saving mode" *supposed* to be activated? The instructions only show how the light's supposed to be mounted on the bike, and how the batteries are installed. The only control is the one button.

      1 Answer
      • A: Its is activated by depressing the button a second time.

Q: How to operate energy saving mode? I can only use it in steady and flashing mode On the package it is listed as 1. full illumination mode (20hr) 2. energy saving mode (45hr) 3. flashing mode (33hr), but I cannot find the way of energy saving mode

      1 Answer
      • A: The light has two brightness modes and a flashing mode. It is possible there is a defective processor in the light if it is not functioning as indicated.

Q: Batteries for this light How many batteries are required, what size, and how long is the battery life in different modes?

      1 Answer
      • A: This light requires 3 AAA batteries. The battery life is dependent on the mode it is used on.
