Wood Shoe Rack

The rack is fairly sturdy but rated to hold only 6 lbs., a little low. I added wood glue to the 4 posts in hopes of increasing rigidity. We have a large container of dog food on it (definitely more than 6 lbs.) plus shoes and it's holding up.

Q: i really need to know if this is weatherproof! i punched in outdoor shoe racks, for just like 6 shoes. and this came up , among others, that do not look outdoorsy ... would anyone know if this holds up outside? for the summer only
