    Over the door drying rack

The over the door hooks were too big for our door and caused a lot of banging, even when screwed in. Had to put cushion between hooks and door and now it’s perfect.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Does not fit standard doors

The brackets for hanging it over the door are meant for extremely thick doors and not a standard door. This causes it to tip up making closing the door next to impossible. If you don’t have extremely thick doors then don’t bother. Using something to wedge it does not work as any wedges just fall out. I tried several types of wedges with no success. Returning for refund.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I’m not sure how I’m supposed to hang the drying rack over the door considering no hooks were included with mine

    • A: It’s has two door holders come with it.

Q: How thick are the hooks? Do they damage and/or leave marks on the door or door frame?

    2 Answers
    • A: The over-the-door hooks are two inches thick, because the door I am using it on is only 1.5 inches thick I cut some felt pads to size (the kind you put on the bottom of chair legs) and stuck them to both sides of the hooks to add extra thickness and prevent damage to the door. However, (partly because of the extra thickness of the hooks) the top of the rack sits half an inch off the door and the bottom of the rack swings a bit and knocks against the door when it is being opened or closed. I have mine on a closet I seldom open but over the past couple years since I bought it some of the paint on the door has started to flake away from this repeated contact. Hope this helps!

Q: Would this work mounted on a wall, (using seperate hardware perhaps)

    2 Answers
    • A: As long as your mounting hardware can support the extra weight from your clothes, then I don't see why not.

Q: The picture doesn't show how the drying rack hooks onto the door. One of the earlier questions say there isn't any hardware to hang the rack. Is the hanging hardware supposed to be included? If so, picture of the hardware should be shown in description

Q: Could two of these be used together? How much do they weigh?  Wondering if I could hook them together so I have more area to hang things.

    1 Answer
    • A: To make sure safety using, it's the best to hook with the door, not hook them together. It's about 3kgs max loading for this item.
