Large sized chipper shredder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Chipper/shredder performs well however, the bag is difficult to put on and take off. It leaks around attaching area. Engine needs fuel shut off valve (Husband added one.)

Dependable machine!!

Good Chipper for the Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this chipper last fall and overall I felt it did a good job. The promotional materials said it should chip up to 3 inch logs, I feel that would be a challenge for this machine.

il est très utile pour les branche...toute fois pour son ouverture de 3 pouce on doit seulement mettre des branche de 2 pouce max...sinon le moteur étouffe...mais dans l'ensemble ca vas bien pour se débarrasser des branches de hais ....

Parts missing & difficult to use

Despite written material indicating "bag included" it was not with the unit & I have no idea when it will arrive. I have only used this chipper very briefly twice. It is very difficult for me to start, much more difficult than my chain saw. The larger hopper which is supposed to take smaller branches seems to be useless. The smaller chute for larger sticks gets plugged with smaller twigs. Turning off the unit to clear it means another difficult start.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Hello Nelson. To change the oil on a Troy-Bilt CS4325 chipper shredder, locate the engine oil drain plug, usually at the base of the engine, and the oil fill plug, often near the dipstick. Drain the old oil, replace the plug, and refill with the recommended engine oil until it reaches the full mark on the dipstick. Thank you for your question.

Q: How heavy is this machine? Is it difficult to start? As to question one, can you define "course mulch"

A: This premium chipper shredder weighs in just a little over 150lbs. A slow smooth pull on the engine recoil handle is all that’s required to start this machine. The chipper flywheel inertia takes over as the engine comes up to speed. See the attached photo for an example of the mulch that is produced and deposited in the included collection bag.

A: It has a course chip that would not be suitable for top bedding for chickens. It comes out like a course mulch.

Q: The chipper comes with a 2 year warranty. How does canadian tire honour this warranty? Do we bring it back to the store and CT takes it from there?

A: This premium upright Chipper/Shredder utilizes a Briggs & Stratton 250cc engine rated at 11.50 Torque Power (modern small displacement air cooled engines are no longer rated with HP). The Chipper mechanism does not employ gears to feed material however a vacuum is created by the flywheel, flail blades and chipper blades that help safely ingest brush and branches up to 3". The product carries a two year manufacturer's warranty.
