Stoutest bed rack system on the market...but

This was the stoutest truck bed rack system I could find. I had to customize this to mount base rail with bolts to my truck bed side rails. I have enough room to also have my roll up locking tonneau cover. Had to weld/remove height to fit RTT to truck better. Looking to do again to get below cab of truck but leave enough room for roll up of tonneau and side access to truck bed. Would LOVE to see Thule make adjustable height or offer different fixed height options with side rack holders to mount gas cans, etc. and help keep lose load items secured when tonneau rolled up.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Tonneau covers are a difficult fit with most Thule truck bed racks because they usually use the same mounting points on the truck bed.
If you're looking for a lower-height option with the ability to add side rails, I recommend taking a look at the Thule XSporter Pro Shift! It uses the same base rail system as the Thule TracRac SR, and creates a customizable base to add your rooftop tent and other cargo accessories.

great product, super slow shipping

the rack itself seems quite well made, was relatively easy to install, i hope it performs the way it should in the coming years. i have to knock the rating down to 3 stars though as even though online stated "in stock" it took almost three months to actually receive the rack and there was no communication from Thule at all.

For Work & Overlanding Function Meets Form

I've looked all over for a multi purpose rack to carry my ladder and roof top tent and anything in between. I love the capability and flexibility this slide rack offers.
Additionally, it's the only out of the box rack I could easily customize to my truck's Diamandback bed cover (rated for 1,400 lbs).
My only complaint is that tracrac hasn't taken advantage of their base design to offer more modular customization, such as taking advantage of the T Channels to create side rails and headache rack. This product should easily transition from a simple flexible cargo/overlanding rack to "cage".
Tracrac/Thule management, engineering, marketing please contact me if you're interested in expanding your market and selling more of these racks!
