Thruster Fins

I am very happy with the quality and fit of this product

I purchased 2 sets of these. 1 for my wife and one for me. These go over shoes. Even over shoes they didn't fit my wife. Mine fit ok. While I was using them one just came off. We were at Gennie Spring and I had no way to get it because of the current. Gone forever. The straps are the real issue. I feel like the straps were an afterthought. The clasps do not stay closed and that's how I lost one.

Fins are well made, quick adjust buckles seem well made and easy to use... the problem is that the straps are too short for larger boots (I take a 14). I also didn't like the way they attached the straps to the fins by just looping them through (hard to explain without a photo and I already removed them to redo). The larger boots also have a wider sole and do not fit completely down into the fins... so I'll have to use my shop sander and grind a bevel on the instep of the soles, which is not really a problem as it won't effect the boot in any way except it will void the warranty of the boots so hope nothing else goes wrong. If you have a size 12 or smaller you shouldn't have any problems.

I have used this style of fins for bellyboating for 15 years. I've tried the slip on kind with the buckle (similar to diving fins) which arent as comfortable, especially if your waders have boots built in. If someone says they can't move quickly enough in these I really have to question if they even know what they are doing or if they are terribly out of shape. These propel you just fine. You're in a belly boat, flyfishing.... you don't want to be going 20mph across the lake.
