Q: what is the total length ? what is the inlet size? I am looking for 2.25" - max 2.5" I am looking for 2.25" - 2.5" max pipe size and a overall length of no more than 30" shorter would be better. Can you please give me a model # and muffler specs. Price and availability ( Charlottetown PEI ) Thank you.

A: You are needing part # 24201 which is product # 112-8345 and has inlet of 2.25". Length is 25". For price and availability, please contact your local Canadian Tire store.

Q: Would this be legal on a 2001 Cavalier Sedan 2.4L? Even if I have to replace this with my catalytic converter?

A: Exhaust legalities vary prom province to province; always check with your local authorities if you are unsure. Although you will likely need to make some modifications, you do not need to replace your catalytic converter in order to install this (or any other) performance muffler. You may need to customize the exhaust pipe that connects the muffler to the converter in order make this universal part work on your application. Removing your catalytic converter and not replacing it with another converter will cause you to fail any emissions testing you may be required to do and is not recommended. Please see your local Canadian Tire store in order to make sure you get the parts and advice you need in order to install this performance muffler safely and legally.

A: There are multiple Thrush GlassPack mufflers with a 2 ¼” inlet / outletwith the main difference between them being their overall length. 112-8394 is 23” in overall length; 112-8345 is 25” overall; 112-8397 is 27” long; 112-8399 is 31” in overall length. All the above mufflers have a shell diameter of 3.5”.

Q: Is this muffler road legal in NS and will it pass inspection in NS? Ive heard from some folks that its too loud and isnt road legal

A: Performance mufflers work by being less restrictive than the stock muffler, and as such, performance mufflers are generally louder than the stock muffler. The amount of noise that this particular muffler emits is entirely dependent on the vehicle it is installed on. Even on the same application, this muffler may sound different depending on the condition and / or modifications of the engine as well as the rest of the exhaust system. Always check with your local authorities before modifying your vehicle.

A: This is a universal performance muffler that will fit any vehicle with the proper modifications made to accommodate it. Please see your local Canadian Tire in order to have a professional exhaust inspection so that you can properly evaluate all options open to your specific application as well as all the modifications that will need to be done, such as pipe extensions / adapters, hanger placements, etc...
