Not convinced

We purchased two of the patio units. The first one we opened. Wouldn’t light very well and never got very warm. It was not effective at all. We tried a different fuel cartridge and scent pad. It still was very hard to ignite or keep heating. We opened the second one and it was completely different. With the multi insect pad it seems to be a better. We will return the fist one for a new one. We have been using the u it’s just over a week and so far not sure this is the answer for Maine. We will try one more week and if it’s not better we will stop using the units. Too many bites

New model not as good as the old

Bought two of the original thermacell when they first came out. They worked perfectly and kept the mosquitoes away. This hunting season I bought a new one after the bottom that covers the butane, broke. The new model does not heat up enough and DOES NOT keep mosquitoes away. I got eat up. The next morning I used my old one and it again worked flawlessly minus the bottom cover.

These are the greatest

I use them for early fall deer hunting, I am able to sit in my deer blind all day long without a mosquitto, just a reminder, pad need to be replaced every 2 hours
