Not great

Bought it as a novelty item and also for convenience. It doesn’t work that great. You have to clap really loud and slow. I use it at bedtime when I’m reading and the lamp is not nearby. If the clapper is plugged in then the switch doesn’t work either. It doesn’t work well very consistently and it’s too disruptive at night time.

Love my Clapper

I use this item in my bedroom. Clap on and Clap off is very much the accurate picture that details how to use this item. I plugged in my light on my night stand and when I enter the room, I clap on, when ready for bed, I clap off. I would have given it 5 stars, but what held me back is the fact that sometimes a loud noise triggers the device to turn the light on and or off as well as for the fact that the device does not always respond when I clap twice to turn it on., but two claps to turn the light off usually always works.

Love "The Clapper"

After a recommendation from my family and seeing the TV commercial, I finally got the "Clapper" for the bedroom to help turn the table lamp off when I was in bed. Following the specific instructions as outlined, it works like a charm! No need to trip over the furniture to turn the lamp on or off at night. ( It also works well for the radio too). The key to getting it to work properly is to make sure you clap loudly enough at the right frequency and following the light indicators as a guide. I am very happy with this handy product and I recommend it to all!

I love my clapper. It's great when you don't want to get out of bed to turn off the lights or when you are walking into a room. It sometimes goes off in a thunder storm. It is sensitive to sound.

No surge protection

If someone accidentally plugs something in beyond the units acceptable wattage (a vacuum in this case) the unit will no longer work. It's a marginal product overall. Since it broke, we'll just return for a refund, it's not a good enough product to bother replacing.
