    I picked this up for my daughter when she outgrew her last one. It was a decent bike for the price and my daughter hasn't had any complaints.

    Very cute bike . It came with training wheels, bonus not having to buy them separate and put on. We do find the bike to be a bit heavy for our 5 year old - and she's no lightweight! But overall happy with bike.

    Q: What age and weight is this bike appropriate for? I am new to buying bikes and I am not sure what size to get for my 7 year old step-daughter. I am not sure of her weight, but she is smaller so I would say around 50+ pounds. Please help. Thank you!

    • A: You can't go by age or weight. Bikes are supposed to be sized based on height and leg length. As a general rule of thumb, a rider should be able to straddle the FRONT WHEEL with their legs...and not be able to bend their knees...but be able to stand flat-footed. Kids riding bikes with tires higher than this are riding bikes that are too big for them!!!

    Q: Can mud guards be added to this bike?

    • A: We do NOT recommend adding mud guards to the front wheel, as the braking system is set up for the wheel without mud guards. Mud guards could be added to the rear wheel, but they MUST be secured properly and they absolutely should NOT touch the tires at all.

    Q: What's the different between a V-brake bike and front caliper brake/rear coaster brake? My girl is 6.5 years old, which type of brake should I get for her?

    • A: A V-brake and a caliper brake are both hand brakes. A bike with a front caliper brake and a rear coaster brake means that the front tire has a hand brake, and the rear tire has the type of brake that slows the rear tire when someone pedals backward. This type of braking system is usually on kids bikes. V-brakes are a "step-up" to caliper brakes. Most bikes with V-brakes have hand brakes for both tires. V-brakes are more adjustable that caliper brakes, and are slightly more durable for heavier weight.

    • A: It doesn't and haven't been able to get a great set for it. The ones we have on it now are too stabble, so esentially she's driving a 4 wheeler - not so great for training.
