Light okay but mounting hardware in not good

Light only lasted 5 min down a gravel path before it shook loose from its mounting bracket. Light is no good if it can't stay on your bike.

Q: Would this item work well with the Schwinn Sanctuary 7 cruiser?? I will be getting lots of use out of the rear rack and would like to possibly mount a rear light on the back of the rack instead of the seat post.
