Good price for the metal spacer and it will last longer than the plastic ones for sure. I wish there was a clip where the line goes through to stop it from falling off in the wind yet still be easy to remove.

Q: Does it prevent the clothesline from twisting with the clothes when very windy?

A: The metal spacer assists in keeping the upper and lower clotheslines perpendicular to each other, thus reducing sagging. The longer the clothesline, the more spacers you should have. Unfortunately, the vendor does not know of a product that will prevent the clothes from tangling around the clothesline when very windy.

A: It is a spacer that goes on a clothes line. It holds the wires together so the weight of the laundry does not stretch the wire and the clothes don't touch the ground. It helps support the clothes line. To use it you would put half the laundry load out on the line, put on the spacer and they then the remaining laundry. You can use more than one spacer at a time if you need it.
