Product Details

Sterilite's 2.7 Gallon / 10.2 Liter Rectangular StepOn Wastebasket features a color accented pedal, that when lightly pushed by a foot, smoothly opens the lid. Nested inside of the base is a removable liner that accommodates a standard-sized plastic shopping bag or a 4 gallon trash bag. The liner offers a bag-holding feature that keeps the liner from sliding out of place, as well as hidden from view when the lid is closed. Simply push the edges of the bag through the holes in the sides of the liner, securing the bag in place. This wastebaskets modern, space efficient design makes it the perfect solution for smaller spaces in the bathroom or office. It's sturdy construction and easy to clean textured plastic make it an ideal solution for busy households. The overall assembled dimensions of this item are 12 1/8" L x 7 7/8" W x 12 7/8" H.

For same price you can get 15 L (less). For a bit more you can get 25L. But i chose this one due to design. The removable insert makes it easy to empty without getting garbage all over the lid. The step on and open high and wide design makes it possible to operate without hands and no top to interfere, get dirty, unlike the ones that swing open, or open down rather than up. The insert and the outer unit make it easy to tie the bag at a corner (small, 25L sized ones) and still lift the inside bucket out. The all plastic material to me is a plus, much lighter and harder to dent, rust. If it was available in larger sizes it would be even better but for one person and not composting food scraps, still lasts over a week so far in the kitchen.

Looks fine however the lid doesn’t go up all the way when stepping on the opener. Very frustrating when you have a handful of wet food to dispose of.
