A: Thank you for contacting Sterilite. The Sterilite 32 Qt ClearView Latch Boxes are made of polypropylene, and are designed for general household storage. Most household storage purposes do not require suggested weight limitations. Our products have not been specifically tested for various weight potential, and we suggest consumers not overload them or stack more than three high. This could cause distortion or eventual damage. When storing items away, use good judgment and be mindful of the weight in each storage box and place the heaviest storage box on the bottom.

Q: What is the heat resistence on the tub?

A: Thank you for your question. Our vendor has provided the following information: Extreme Temperature Impact: Our products are made out of polypropylene and polyethylene and can withstand temperatures of as high as 180 degrees Fahrenheit and as low as 15 degrees Fahrenheit. At the higher temperatures, the plastic can eventually become flexible and could warp or deform. At colder temperatures, the plastic may become brittle and may crack or rupture. With repeat or prolonged exposure to these extremes will negatively impact the performance and longevity of the items. There should be no concern of our products “melting” in attics in summer, however if attic temperature is regularly at 180 F degrees or above the product performance and longevity may be impacted. Dishwasher/freezer safe: Heating coils are typically in the bottom of most household dishwashers; therefore, our products are safe on the top rack of the dishwasher only. Our food containers are also freezer and microwave (for reheating only) safe. Frozen foods should be thawed prior to reheating in the microwave
